Faith Community.
We are a family of friends who embrace our calling to the 2251 postcode area, wholeheartedly believing that God has placed us in Bensville to contend for the renewal and restoration of the families and individuals around us.
We gather on Sundays at 9:30am the school hall at Coast Community in Bundaleer Crescent Bensville.

Our corner of The Coast.
Coast Community Church in 1998 purchased our land on Bundaleer Crescent Bensville. With hearts committed to restoring individuals and families through Christ's love, we dreamed as a church of how we could use this resource as a seven-day-a-week ministry to the community. A year later, a vision emerged in our hearts to start a Christian school to serve families in raising their children in the way of Jesus. A year after, in 2000, we opened the doors of Coast Christian School, with 27 children.
As church we continued to gather in the heart of Kincumber at the Local High School until 2014 when we purpose built our facility at the Coast Christian School site. Church & School together dedicated to contending for the renewal of these children and families.
Our Gatherings.
Inspired by the early church in Acts 2, we devote ourselves to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. We gather as one family—every generation, equal in His sight—where everyone plays a part in the life of our household.
While we offer age-appropriate programs for children and youth, we treasure all generations coming together for worship & communion.
Our Bensville Priorities
At Bensville, our faith community is shaped by Fellowship, Formation, and Mission. We value deep spiritual friendships and authentic community, committing to being formed into people of love for the sake of others. Everything we do is for God’s kingdom, and we encourage one another to extend His love beyond our gatherings and enterprise. Through acts of service, small groups, local outreach, and mission partnerships, we seek to live out our faith in meaningful ways—building community, growing in faith, and serving others as part of God’s greater mission. This is how we contend as a faith community.

Our Story.
With its origins in Hardy’s Bay in the 1980s, Coast Community was officially established in 1992, gathering at Empire Bay Public School and later at Kincumber Primary School and then High School. With a vision to see central coast families devoted followers of Christ, property was purchased on Bundaleer Crescent in Bensville, the site was previously a small Christian school, and Coast Community prayerfully had to make a choice between building a church building or starting a school.
With our vision driving the decision, the Coast Christian school was birthed—a way to partner with families in raising children to follow Jesus. In 2000, we opened the doors with 27 students, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter.
As a church, we continued to gather in the heart of Kincumber at the local high school until 2014, when we were able to purchase the neighbouring property and build our current facility, which as of 2024 also includes a preschool. Together, the church and school remain united in contending for the renewal and flourishing of children and families in our community.
Our faith community has always placed a deep value on spiritual formation, nurtured by our leaders’ commitment to spiritual health through initiatives like Fuel Conferences and spiritual retreats. These practices deepen our roots, equipping us to bear good fruit for the sake of the Kingdom.
Mission has always been at the heart of Coast Community, woven into the life of our school, our broader community, and offshore. From Kids’ Clothes for Africa to Days for Girls, Carols at the local surf clubs and pubs, Mainly Music and the school and preschools, beach Mission and coast care, we have seen God lead us on incredible journeys that have shaped our story and impacted many lives. We remain committed to recognising and sharing God’s faithfulness, seeking to honour Him in all we do in and through our community here at Bensville.
